Have also got it installed on my laptop that did have an issue not running very well but once I reinstalled windows 10 with a clean up to date copy download from Microsoft at no cost ,plus updated driver's ,all was well. My pc system is an old 2700k i7 CPU with 24gb of ram with an nivida gtx1650 super.can honestly say it runs powerdirector really well. Now comes with Shutterstock included in the subscription and tons of content.Don't understand why so many bad reviews,been using cyberlink for at least 15yrs now and can only say it gets better and better all the time. GPU hardware acceleration is amazingly fast and the rendering quality is spot on. This is some shady business practice, and I consider it outright theft. I liked Power Director, and have gotten used to using it to good effect, but now I’m screwed unless I buy a second subscription to a program that is already included as part of my Suite subscription because the Suite is only for Windows and they refuse to product change to a lesser Mac application or pro rata refund my remaining year. This company also actively hides the information about your purchases and subscriptions on your member account, making it impossible to figure out what you have, and the details about it. So basically, this company has no interest in making things work for their customers, and once you’ve paid, you’re up a creek. It was then I found out the Director Suite I had been moved into is ONLY FOR WINDOWS! I have almost a year left on my subscription, so I asked if I could have a refund or transfer to only Power Director (which is really all I use and is available for Mac) and was met with an inflexible “it’s only for Windows…no refunds….you can purchase a new subscription to only Power Director” (in a real: “we don’t care, we’ve already got your money” sort of way with no discussion).
I tried their online help which is as useless as the member account site (which gives NO Information about your purchases and subscriptions other than the title of them), and finally in exasperation I called phone support.
Just recently I got a Mac, and was unable to download my software for weeks. I wanted to upgrade last year for work I was doing for my students at school, and was moved into a subscription. I have been a Power Director user for years.
